Senior Financial Planner

Key Qualifications and Characteristics:

  • Seeking a defined career path in financial planning
  • At least 3-5 years of client-facing work experience in a financial planning firm
  • Certified Financial PlannerTM – CFP® designation
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four year university
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Very organized, with acute attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player with a ‘no job is beneath me’ attitude     
  • Have the ability to attract and develop new client relationships for the firm

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Financial Planning Process using RTD’s Discover, Plan Live Approach
  • Lead client meetings and maintain relationships through regular communication
  • Complete follow-up communication and implementation of actions that result from client meetings
  • Update database with notes and actions
  • Communicate with client’s outside advisors such as accountants and attorneys
  • Receive inbound client phone calls and emails, either addressing their needs or directing them to the appropriate team member
  • Collaborate with associate planners and support staff in preparing for meetings
  • Develop and train associate planners and support staff for future advancement
  • Actively participate in business development    
  • Participate in and Chair the firm’s various committees in pursuit of the company’s goals
  • Continue our firm’s history of giving back/volunteering by enthusiastically participating in the growth of our profession through industry associations such as FPA and NAPFA

We are seeking a Retirement Plan Advisor in our Cherry Hill, New Jersey office.  This position offers candidates an opportunity to work with a nationally recognized advisory firm with a dedicated and growing Retirement Plan Department. Candidates should passionately believe that client interests always come first.     

Key Qualifications and Characteristics:

 

  • A minimum of 3 years of retirement plan services client support, participant education delivery or relationship management within the financial services industry
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four year university required
  • Industry designation(s) required (AIF, CFP, CFP, CRPS, QPFC)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Experience designing and delivering participant education campaigns
  • Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player
  • Have the ability to attract and develop new client relationships for the firm
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and web conferencing software
  • Thorough knowledge of various retirement plan recordkeeping platforms

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for retirement plan servicing including participant education & presentations, on-boarding and participant inquiries
  • Ensure the timely development, updating, and delivery of participant education campaigns
  • Work with internal and external resources to deliver cost effective and relevant participant education seminars, webinars and one-on-one meetings
  • Evaluate, monitor, and ensure the ongoing success of participant education campaigns
  • Collaborate with team to prepare for and participate in client meetings
  • Maintain relationships with client and outside service providers, such as Third Party Administrators and Recordkeepers, through regular communication
  • Complete follow-up communication and implementation of actions that result from client meetings
  • Update database with notes and actions to keep team apprised
  • Respond to inbound phone calls and emails, either addressing their needs or directing them to the appropriate team member
  • Actively participate in business development    
  • Participate in various internal committees in pursuit of the firm’s goals
  • Continue our firm’s history of giving back/volunteering by enthusiastically participating in the growth of our profession through industry associations
