John F. Hochschwender, CFP®

In Memoriam

We remember our dear friend and colleague, John Hochschwender, who passed on February 23, 2019.

John was an integral part of our lives. He was a friend, mentor, leader and trusted advisor. As a planner, nothing was more important to John than helping his clients reach their goals and dreams.

John was a senior financial planner, shareholder, member of the board of directors and manager of the West Chester office of RTD Financial. He was a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. He received an MBA from Villanova University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Starting with The Vanguard Group in 1985, John worked continuously in the financial services industry, joining RTD in 2001.

John specialized in working with retirees on managing retirement income and taxation, corporate executives with multiple benefit plans like stock options, stock grants, deferred comp, and SERP’s and business owners, looking for long-term financial independence.

John's philosophy in working with clients was to be an advisor, consultant, facilitator and friend.  Reaching a client's goals, objectives and dreams was his number one priority.

John was a National Registered Financial Advisor of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He also served as the president of the Philadelphia Tri-State Financial Planning Association (FPA) in 2010 and remained active in the organization until his passing.

We are grateful for the precious time we had to work and grow with John. He made a significant impact in all our lives and will be deeply missed. We will honor his memory with our unrelenting passion in helping our clients reach their goals and dreams.
