Roberta B. Goldbaugh, CFP®

Financial Planner

Roberta B. Goldbaugh is a Financial Planner in the Atlanta office. She produces financial planning analyses; prepares the team for client meetings; addresses a variety of client inquiries on investments, tax, insurance, and estate issues; and manages all aspects of client care.

She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, having completed the Oglethorpe University CFP® Professional Education program. 

Roberta earned her Bachelor’s degree from William Woods University in Missouri, and received her Master of Science in Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), has served on the local board, and has worked with the Financial Literacy committee, delivering financial literacy programs to high school students.  She carries that focus on financial literacy and empowerment into her volunteer work in the community as a financial management class facilitator for a local non-profit that alleviates and prevents homelessness.  Roberta is also a member of NAPFA, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors as well as a member of Direction$ for Women, a national network of financial advisors keenly interested in empowering, educating and engaging women in the management of their own finances and to this end, she holds regular Women’s Money Circles in the Atlanta area.  And she participates in the CFP Board WIN-to-WIN Mentor program serving as a mentor for other women pursuing the CFP® certification.

On a local level, she has been actively involved in community leadership through church, PTA and Girl Scouts for the past twenty years.

After almost twenty years in the Corporate Finance and Compliance departments at Bank of America, Financial Planning is a second career for Roberta, who was drawn to the personal interaction and client relationships inherent in this work. She particularly appreciates hearing each person’s unique story and enjoys helping each client create the financial structure that will support his or her own journey.
