Richard J. Durso, CFP®, AEP®
Richard Durso is the Director of Financial Planning, Financial Planner, and chair of the Financial Planning Committee with RTD Financial Advisors, Inc. He graduated from LaSalle College High School and St. Joseph’s University (BS in Business Management and MBA in Finance) and has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) designations. With more than 15 years of professional experience in financial planning and investment management, Mr. Durso ensures that family wealth and values are passed down to future generations through proper planning. His passion is to help remove financial worry from his clients by developing a plan based upon each client’s life goals and unique situation.
Mr. Durso is a contributor for the Journal of Financial Planning and has been quoted by financial publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s, and MSN Money. As director of education and board member for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), he was awarded the 2012 FPA President’s Award for outstanding leadership. Mr. Durso is the President-elect for the FPA’s Philadelphia Chapter for 2014 and will serve as President in 2015. He is also a member of National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. Mr. Durso, born and raised in Philadelphia, is married with two daughters. Mr. Durso balances his time with family, financial planning, ice hockey, and an active lifestyle.
